J.C.'s REVIEW

Mid July Report –
July 17-18, 2010

As the mid-summer weather has heated up, so, too, have the Kilties. Two great performances highlighted the weekend that marks the mid-point of our 2010 season. Our Saturday halftime performance at the Racine Raider game at historic Horlick Field drove the locals from their seats, showering us with great ovations. Then we capped the weekend with a well received performance at the Phantom Regiment sponsored “Show of Shows” in Rockford, IL. (MORE)

Rehearsal Locations

Unless noted, Saturday rehearsals are held at Gilmore Middle School, 2330 Northwestern Avenue, Racine, Wisconsin and Sunday rehearsals are held at Tremper HS Stadium, 8560 26th Avenue, Kenosha, Wisconsin. FULL SCHEDULE... HERE

2010 Program

It is with great excitement that The Kilties announce their 2010 field show concept and musical pieces on which it will be based.

“A Night at the Opera” is the title for our 2010 production which is built on four very strong musical compositions that also offer much in the way of visual motivation. The design team once again consists of Scott Stewart as program director, Rick Kirby as brass arranger, Jeff Moore as percussion arranger, Dave Koelz on visual and Angie Klingenmeyer on guard.

You Could Be a Kiltie!

If you have ever thought about being involved in a drum corps that is set up to offer an exciting, healthy, challenging experience in an efficient timeframe that works with almost everyone's schedule, the Kilties may be just what you've been waiting for. The Kilties’ time commitment consists of a weekend-only schedule which works for almost everyone -- from younger members who need to work a summer job or attend to school and sports commitments to adults with full-time jobs and family obligations.

Don’t get us wrong, however, this is not “casual” drum corps. The Kilties are the real thing and take their drum corps experience very seriously, all while having a lot of fun. Together, members build life-long friendships and a respect for one another that envelopes generations and celebrates what drum corps people have in common: Character, Honor, Tradition and Excellence.
